Get to know Dentist Dr. Pouria Owtad, who serves patients in Peoria, Arizona.

Having a true passion for the art and science of dentistry, Dr. Owtad is very dedicated to helping create and maintain healthy smiles. He currently practices at Tender Care Family Dentistry in Peoria, Arizona, working with patients of all ages. 

“Dentistry is my passion. My first priority is focused on my patient’s comfort, health, and well-being. I like interacting with my patients, not only by providing dentistry in a caring and comfortable manner, but also by discussing in detail how to maintain their dental health so that they can retain their own teeth for a lifetime” expressed Dr. Owtad.

His energy, commitment to patient care, and continued education of the latest technology shows his devotion to dentistry and his patients. He intently listens to every question and concern of his patients to create individualized treatment plans. He strives to enhance each patient’s comfort and confidence by understanding their anxiety and individual goals and takes pride in partnering up with his patients to deliver both excellent service and results.

A native of Tucson, Arizona, Dr. Owtad earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Physiology from The University of Arizona, graduating with Honors and on the Dean’s list. He then went on to earn his Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry degree and his Certificate in Public Health from the Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health.

Keeping current with the newest developments and procedures within his field, Dr. Owtad remains a distinguished member of the American Dental Association, the Arizona Dental Association, the Central Arizona Dental Society, as well as Phi Theta Kappa International Honors Society. 

Dentistry, also known as Dental and Oral Medicine, is a branch of medicine that consists of the study, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of diseases, disorders, and conditions of the oral cavity. Dentists diagnose and treat dental issues and help patients develop better oral hygiene regimens. They clean teeth, correct bite issues, perform surgeries and extractions, and perform other duties to ensure that the teeth and mouth are healthy.

When not with his patients or his family, Dr. Owtad enjoys spending time outdoors fishing, camping, and hunting.
