Born in Ukraine, Dr. Sakharova began her medical journey at Vinnitsya State Medical University, where she obtained her Medical Degree in 1997. Following her graduation, she made the bold decision to immigrate to the United States to be with her family and pursue further training in the field of medicine. Dr. Sakharova’s dedication to her craft led her to successfully complete her residency in internal medicine at Corewell Health William Beaumont University Hospital from 2000 to 2003, followed by a fellowship in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism at the prestigious University of Michigan Health System from 2003 to 2005. There she has been involved in a variety of research activities related mainly to pituitary disorders and diabetes.
Dr. Sakharova’s commitment to excellence is evident in her dual board certifications in Internal Medicine and Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism by the American Board of Internal Medicine. She remains at the forefront of her field by actively participating in professional organizations such as the Endocrine Society and American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists, where she continues to expand her knowledge and stay updated on the latest advancements in endocrinology.
