Get to know Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist Dr. Sandra Cammarata, who serves patients in Caldwell, New Jersey.

A devoted child & adolescent psychiatrist, Dr. Cammarata works with patients at her private practice – North Jersey Center for Comprehensive Mental Health – in Caldwell, New Jersey.

A native of Italy, she earned her medical degree from the University of Catania Faculty of Medicine in 1983. After relocating to the United States, she completed her residency in psychiatry and fellowship in child & adolescent psychiatry at the Tufts Medical Center in 1987 and 1989, respectively.

Child and adolescent psychiatry, also known as pediatric psychiatry, is a branch of psychiatry that focuses on the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of mental disorders in children, adolescents, and their families. A child and adolescent psychiatrist is a physician who specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of disorders of thinking, feeling, as well as behavior affecting children, adolescents, and their families.
