A skilled retina surgeon, Dr. Sipperley is affiliated with the Barney Dulaney Perkins Eye Center, based in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. His dedication to his patients is unwavering, as he tirelessly works to provide the highest standard of care and remains at the forefront of cutting-edge research initiatives.

After being commissioned in the US Air Force he attended and graduated from the University of Miami School of Medicine. In 1971 through the USAF medical education program. 

Following his medical education, Dr. Sipperley performed an internal medicine internship at Jackson Memorial Hospital in 1972. U       He entered active duty with the United States Air Force, where he served as a General Medical Officer from 1972 to 1975, also serving as a Ophthalmology Consultant at Addenbrooks Hospital in Cambridge, England. before returning to further specialize in ophthalmology at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute.

It was during his residency at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute that his passion for retinal care began to flourish. He then performed a  fellowship in vitreoretinal surgery at Bascom-Palmer  while serving as Chief Resident. He then completed another post fellowship training program at Duke University as a junior staff member. He was  transferred to Wilford Hall Medical Center at Lackland AFB in San Antonio as the Retinal Surgeon for the US Air Force, operating. Training Residents and acting as a consultant to the Surgeon General of the Air Force

He left active duty for a teaching research and surgical position at the Devers Eye Institute and the University of Oregon Health Sciences center and the Portland VA Hospital

Dr. Sipperley then joined a successful retinal practice in Phoenix, AZ which became Retinal Consultants of Arizona where he was the director of research and eventually the senior partner. 

Moving to Barnet Dulaney Perkins Eye Center in 2010 he performed retina and vitreous surgery and served as director of research for several years. He now worke in Lake Havasu City with BDPEC under the umbrella of American Vision Partners. 

Dedicated to clinical excellence, the doctor is board-certified in ophthalmology by the American Board of Ophthalmology (ABO). The ABO is an independent, non-profit organization responsible for certifying ophthalmologists in the United States of America.

On a professional level, he is an active member of numerous professional organizations, including the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Retina Specialists, and the European VitreoRetinal Society. His contributions extend beyond the operating room, as he served as a board member for the Arizona Ophthalmological Society and the Western Retinal Study Club, shaping the future of his field through mentorship and collaboration.
