A part of Rochester Regional Health, Internal Medicine at Linden Oaks offers comprehensive health care services for adult patients over the age of 18. These primary care and internal medicine services include: routine physical exams and health screenings, sick (acute care) visits, medication prescriptions and refills, immunization and flu shots, and pre-operative clearance.
At the start of his journey into medicine, Dr. Woldeyohannes graduated with his medical degree from the Addis Ababa University School of Medicine in Ethiopia in 1985. Three years later, in 1988, he earned his Master of Public Health degree from the Addis Ababa University School of Graduate Studies.
Wanting to further his training, he completed his fellowship in environmental and occupational medicine at McGill University (1991), his residency in internal medicine at Unity St. Mary’s Campus (1994) an affiliate of University of Rochester Medical Center, his residency in Occupational medicine at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (1997), and his fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine (1997).
Subsequent to his education, Dr. Woldeyohannes attained board certification in Internal Medicine and Pulmonary Disease through the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.
Serving his interest in the field of medicine, he is a member of the American Medical Association, the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine, the American Thoracic Society, the American Association of Bronchology and Interventional Pulmonology, the American Academy of Sleep Medicine, and the Society of Critical Care Medicine. He is also a Fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians (FCCP) and a Fellow of the American College of Physicians (FACP).
