An exceptional orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Kubiak is the Co-Founder, Chairman of the Medical Board, and Medical Director of CoNextions Medical in Salt Lake City, Utah. 

CoNextions Medical develops implants focused on providing superior fixation to soft tissue. Their novel solutions are designed to simplify soft tissue repair procedures.

With a broad educational background, Dr. Kubiak attended the University of Washington School of Medicine and did his residency training at the Hospital for Joint Diseases in New York City, New York. He completed a fellowship in orthopedic trauma at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, Washington.

Dedicated to clinical excellence, the doctor is board-certified in orthopedic surgery by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery (ABOS). The ABOS is an organization with the goal of establishing educational and professional standards for orthopaedic residents and surgeons as well as evaluating the qualifications and competence of orthopaedic surgeons.

With a passion for teaching, Dr. Kubiak is presently an Assistant Professor of Orthopedic Surgery with Tenure at the University of Utah. Previously, he served as Professor and Vice-Chair of the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at the University of Nevada Las Vegas School of Medicine.

An avid researcher, he has acted as a Principal Investigator or Co-Principal Investigator on numerous clinical and research studies. He has extensive experience with various surgical methods, having completed clinical research projects on and published peer-reviewed articles in the area of orthopedic injury and rehabilitation. 

Recently, Dr. Kubiak was a member of a research team that was recognized by the Department of Defense with a Peer Reviewed Orthopedic Technology Development Award for a new fracture healing monitoring system. 

Publishing more than 100 peer-reviewed journal articles and book chapters, he is currently the Special Articles Editor for the Editorial Board of the Journal of Orthopedic Trauma. He has been invited to lecture internationally, including presentations in Germany, England, and South Korea.

Orthopedic surgery is the branch of surgery concerned with conditions involving the musculoskeletal system. Orthopedic surgeons use both surgical and non-surgical means to treat musculoskeletal trauma, spine diseases, sports injuries, degenerative diseases, infections, tumors, and congenital disorders.
