Dr. LaTrenta is a double board-certified plastic surgeon with private surgical facilities in New York City, New York (Carnegie Hill Plastic Surgery) and Darien, Connecticut (Fairfield County Plastic Surgery). Having been in practice for over 25 years, some of his areas of expertise include blepharoplasty, Botox injection, breast augmentation, breast procedures, breast reconstruction, breast reduction, breast surgery, cosmetic fillings, cosmetic surgery, facelift, facial cosmetic surgery, liposuction, mastopexy, Restylane, and rhinoplasty.
Serving at some of the nation’s premiere medical institutions, Dr. LaTrenta is a Clinical Associate Professor of Surgery at the Joan and Sanford Weill Medical College of Cornell University, and an Associate Attending Surgeon at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital. He also has surgical privileges with the Greenwich and Stamford Hospitals in Fairfield County, Connecticut.
After having graduated from Williams College in 1976 with a Bachelor of Arts degree, Dr. LaTrenta obtained his medical degree from New York Medical College in 1980. From there, he went on to serve his residencies and chief residencies in both general surgery & plastic and reconstructive surgery at New York University Medical Center. He began work at the New York Hospital Cornell University Medical Center in 1988.
Specializing in the enhancement of appearance, the doctor is board-certified in plastic surgery by the American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS). The mission of the ABPS is to promote safe, ethical, efficacious plastic surgery to the public by maintaining high standards for the education, examination, certification, and continuous certification of plastic surgeons as specialists and subspecialists.
To boot, he is board-certified in surgery by the American Board of Surgery (ABS). The ABS is an independent, non-profit organization located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, founded for the purpose of certifying surgeons who have met a defined standard of education, training, and knowledge.
Proud to serve on the medical advisory board of the Breast Cancer Alliance, Dr. LaTrenta is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, and the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. He attends and presents at the Annual Meeting of each of these esteemed professional organizations, as well as at other conferences around the country.

He was honored to be asked to join the Medical Circle of Weill Cornell Medical Center in 2010, and has been named to the “2020 Best Doctors in New York” by New York Magazine and to the “Best Doctors in America” by the Castle/Connolly Guide.
Among some of his other achievements are the award of the Traveling Professorship for the Aesthetic Society from 2001 through 2003, and receipt of the “Man of Good Conscience Award” from the American Society of Women Psychiatrists in May of 2002.
