Get to know Orthopedic Surgeon Dr. Jessica Gallina, who serves patients in New Jersey.

A board-certified and fellowship-trained foot and ankle orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Gallina specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of all foot and ankle injuries. She works with patients at her private practice, with offices in New York, New York & Wyckoff, New Jersey.

Among her other roles, she is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at the Weill Cornell Medical College and can be found on staff at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, Mount Sinai Hospital, and Lenox Hill Hospital. 

A dance medicine specialist, she serves as a consultant to the New York City Ballet and the School of American Ballet.

Regarding her educational background, Dr. Gallina graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Chemistry from Williams College. She then earned her medical degree and completed her residency in orthopedic surgery at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. She followed this up with a fellowship in foot and ankle surgery at Union Memorial Hospital and under the tutelage of Dr. Roger Mann.

Committed to orthopedic excellence, she is board-certified in orthopedic surgery by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery (ABOS). The ABOS is an organization with the goal of establishing educational and professional standards for orthopedic residents and surgeons as well as evaluating the qualifications and competence of orthopedic surgeons.

Specializing in ambulatory foot surgery and foot reconstruction, Dr. Gallina is a proud member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Society.

Orthopedic surgery is the branch of surgery concerned with conditions involving the musculoskeletal system. Orthopedic surgeons use both surgical and non-surgical means to treat musculoskeletal trauma, spine diseases, sports injuries, degenerative diseases, infections, tumors, and congenital disorders.

A recognized leader in the orthopedic treatment of foot and ankle disorders, Dr. Gallina has been the recipient of various awards and honors throughout her academic and medical career. These include: NIH Fellowship, Alpha Omega Alpha Research Fellowship, AO Research Grant, Fisons Scholar/Athlete Asthma Scholarship, National Merit Scholarship, Compassionate Doctor Recognition (2018, 2016, 2012, 2011), and Patients’ Choice Award (2018).
