OrthoConnecticut is a multispecialty practice staffed by leaders in orthopedic care, and is the united practice of Coastal Orthopedics, Danbury Orthopedics, New Milford Orthopedics, and Connecticut Pain Care. A 1994 graduate of NYU Grossman School of Medicine, Dr. Yaghoubian completed his surgical internship at the New York University Medical Center of Bellevue Hospital, followed by a residency in orthopedic surgery at The Hospital for Joint Diseases and Bellevue Hospital. 

He capped his highly honored medical education and training—including the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Award for the student with the highest scholastic rating for the 4 years of medical school—with fellowship training in hand surgery, upper extremity surgery, and microsurgery at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.

Holding medical licenses in Connecticut and New York, Dr. Yaghoubian’s hospital and surgical center affiliations include Milford Hospital, Sharon Hospital, and Western Connecticut Orthopedic Surgical Center.

With a commitment to surgical excellence, he is board-certified in orthopedic surgery and surgery of the hand by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery (ABOS). The ABOS is an organization with the goal of establishing educational and professional standards for orthopedic residents and surgeons as well as evaluating the qualifications and competence of orthopedic surgeons.

In good standing with a number of professional organizations, Dr. Yaghoubian is an active member of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand, the American Association for Surgery of the Hand, and the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons.

Hand and upper extremity surgery is a very broad field that encompasses the bones, joints, ligaments, tendons, blood vessels, nerves, and other soft tissues from the hand to the shoulder.
