While focusing on concerns of the digestive tract, Dr. Dasani also works alongside other physicians to help his patients achieve the most optimal care results. He takes pride in offering comprehensive solutions for all disorders of the gastrointestinal (GI) systems and makes every effort to make his patients’ experience with invasive endoscopic procedures as smooth and as easy as possible.
Among his diverse professional work experience, the doctor serves as Chairman of the Dietary Committee at Chilton Medical Center in Pompton Plains, New Jersey. He is also affiliated with Saint Joseph’s Hospital in Wayne and Saint Clare’s Hospital in Denville.
In 1980, he earned his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from M. P. Shah Medical College, Jamnagar in India. Upon relocating to the United States, he completed his internship at Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadow, New York, followed by his residency in internal medicine at Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch, New Jersey. He also completed his fellowship in gastroenterology at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City, New York.
Thereafter, he became board-certified in both gastroenterology and internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine – a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.
In order to stay up to date in his field, he remains a member of the American College of Gastroenterologists, the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, the American Gastroenterological Association, the American Medical Association, and the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases.
As for Dr. Dasani’s achievements, he has been honored with several awards and recognitions throughout his fruitful career, including First rank in SSCE Exam, First rank in Pre Uni Science Exam (an entrance exam for medical school), the National Merit Scholarship Award during his tenure in medical school, a Prize for a published manuscript during his residency in internal medicine, as well as the NRSA Award from NIH for research during his fellowship in gastroenterology.
