Dr. Colvin is an Optometrist currently practicing with the Heritage Family EyeCare. Dr. Colvin is a licensed Therapeutic Optometrist and Glaucoma Specialist. She treats patients of all ages. She has expertise in treating a variety of eye conditions, maintaining and preserving your eye sight.

Dr. Colvin completed his undergraduate degree from the University of Houston/University Park. Furthering her education she graduated with honors with her Doctor of Optometry degree from The Ohio State University College of Optometry. She has been in the optical industry for over 25 years. Some of her experience includes optician, trainer, and lab technician.

Optometry is a health care profession which involves examining the eyes and applicable visual systems for defects or abnormalities as well as the medical diagnosis and management of eye disease. Traditionally, the field of optometry began with the primary focus of correcting refractive error through the use of spectacles. Modern day optometry, however, has evolved through time so that the educational curriculum includes intensive medical training in the diagnosis and management of ocular disease in countries where the profession is established and regulated.
