Get to know Family Physician Dr. Regina Cano, who serves patients in Cincinnati, Ohio.

A prominent family physician, Dr. Cano works intermittently both at Crossroad Health Center and Integrated Family Care  in Cincinnati, Ohio. She also works in nursing homes throughout southwest Ohio.

She received her medical degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine in 2012, and she completed her residency in Family Medicine at the Christ Hospital in 2015.

As a testament to her success, the doctor is board-certified in family medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM). The ABFM is a non-profit, independent medical association of American physicians who practice in family medicine and its sub-specialties. 

Family medicine is a medical specialty devoted to comprehensive health care for people of all ages. The specialist is called a family physician or family doctor. A family physician is often the first person a patient sees when seeking healthcare services. They examine and treat patients with a wide range of conditions and refer those with serious ailments to a specialist or appropriate facility.

On a more personal note, Dr. Cano enjoys meeting patients from all walks of life, and has extra experience in women's health including prenatal care, transgender care, nursing home care, as well as palliative and global health care. She has volunteered throughout Central America and speaks Spanish as well. She lives part of the year in Guadalajara, Mexico.
