Get to know Family Physician Dr. Stella U. Ekong, who serves patients throughout the State of Minnesota.

Dr. Ekong is a board-certified family physician, seeing patients on a walk-in basis in the urgent care.

In association with Allina Health, she practices out of the following locations: Allina Health Urgent Care – Bandana Square (St. Paul), Allina Health Urgent Care – Coon Rapids, and Allina Health Urgent Care – Shoreview.

A 1993 graduate of Vitebsk State Medical University, Dr. Ekong went on to perform her residency in family medicine at the University at Buffalo from 2002 until 2005.

Thereafter, she attained board certification through the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM). The ABFM is a non-profit, independent medical association of American physicians who practice in family medicine and its sub-specialties.

Having been in practice for nearly two decades, Dr. Ekong holds certifications in Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Basic Life Support.

Family medicine is a medical specialty devoted to comprehensive health care for people of all ages. The specialist is called a family physician or family doctor. A family physician is often the first person a patient sees when seeking healthcare services. They examine and treat patients with a wide range of conditions and refer those with serious ailments to a specialist or appropriate facility.

On a more personal note, Dr. Ekong speaks several languages, including English, French, and Russian.
