Born in Kingston, Jamaica, Dr. Afflalo embarked on her medical journey at George Washington University School of Medicine in Washington D.C., culminating in a residency in family medicine at Kaiser Permanente Medical Center in Los Angeles. Her commitment to medical education and mentorship is evident through her roles as Chief of the Family Medicine Department, SCPMG Professional Staff President, and Associate Faculty at UCSD School of Medicine.

Dr. Afflalo’s dedication extends beyond the confines of her clinic, as she actively engages with the community through various mentoring programs for students interested in healthcare careers.
