Get to know Maternal & Fetal Medicine Specialist Dr. Jaime Jose Rodriguez, who serves patients throughout the State of Florida.

Dr. Rodriguez is a board-certified and fellowship-trained obstetrician-gynecologist with a specialization in maternal & fetal medicine. He is affiliated with Memorial Healthcare System, more specifically: Memorial Hospital Miramar, Memorial Hospital West (Pembroke Pines), and Memorial Regional Hospital (Hollywood) – all of which are located in the state of Florida.

After earning his medical degree from Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara in Mexico in 1981, Dr. Rodriguez relocated to the United States to further his training. He completed his internship at Deaconess Health System in 1983, followed by his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at James L. Fowle Regional Cancer Center in 1986. He then completed his fellowship in neonatal-perinatal medicine at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in 1991. 

A Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (FACOG), the doctor is board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG). The ABOG is a non-profit organization that provides board certification for practicing obstetricians and gynecologists in the United States and Canada. 

Obstetrics and Gynecology is the medical specialty that encompasses the two subspecialties of obstetrics (covering pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period) and gynecology (covering the health of the female reproductive system – vagina, uterus, ovaries, and breasts). An obstetrician-gynecologist, or OB-GYN, is a healthcare professional who specializes in female reproductive health. 

In addition to English, Dr. Rodriguez speaks Spanish.
