Get to know Dentist Dr. Azita Anissi, who serves patients in Pittsford, New York.

A Pittsford dentist, Dr. Anissi has been practicing dentistry in the Rochester, New York area for nearly 30 years. Her enthusiasm for dentistry, thirst for knowledge, and exceptional clinical skills are fundamental to her practice.  

As a general dentist with advanced training in orthodontics, Dr. Anissi’s dental office provides comprehensive one-stop dental care for kids, adults and families. She offers the latest technology in preventative and restorative dental care with a strong emphasis on cosmetic dentistry and orthodontics. 

Consistently delivering exceptional care and service for beautiful, healthy smiles, her comprehensive dental services include dental cleanings and preventive care, cosmetic dentistry, teeth whitening, dental implants, tooth-colored fillings and dental crowns, dentures and partials, orthodontics, periodontal maintenance, sleep apnea treatment, TMJ treatment, and emergency dental care.

Graduating with her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine, Dr. Anissi went on to perform her General Practice Residency at Strong Memorial Hospital.

Dedicated to continuing education and earning further credentials to enhance the services of her practice for the benefit of her patients, she is a Diplomate of the American Orthodontic Society with over 1,000 hours of continuing education as well as a Diplomate of the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine.

Among her professional affiliations, Dr. Anissi is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, the 7th District Dental Society, and the American Dental Association. She has been a member of the American Orthodontic Society for more than 12 years and served on its Board of Directors from 2019 until 2020.

She has participated in continuous orthodontic education, mentoring and credentialing programs and has been recognized by colleagues worldwide for her efforts.

Providing comprehensive care for patients suffering from sleep apnea and helping them achieve the good night’s sleep and quality of life they deserve, Dr. Anissi is also the owner of Center for Sleep Therapy, LLC in Pittsford. Her familiarity with orthodontics makes her a preferred doctor for treating sleep apnea, due to her better understanding of patients’ bite and occlusion, as well as her vast knowledge on retainer and jaw movements.

Dentistry, also known as Dental and Oral Medicine, is a branch of medicine that consists of the study, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of diseases, disorders, and conditions of the oral cavity. Dentists diagnose and treat dental issues and help patients develop better oral hygiene regimens. They clean teeth, correct bite issues, perform surgeries and extractions, and perform other duties to ensure that the teeth and mouth are healthy.  

On a more personal note, Dr. Anissi lives in Fairport with her husband and three boys. She speaks many languages, including English, Persian, and Russian.
