As one of a limited number of plastic surgeons in New York City, Dr. Afridi is specifically interested in women’s health issues as they relate to plastic surgery. She is keenly aware of the needs of young moms who want to experience the joys of family but keep their pre-baby physiques. Therefore, she has established a particular interest, and is specializing, in post-maternity body reshaping.
Bringing a refreshing element to her industry, Dr. Afridi feels she has the insight and perspective to keenly understand the needs and wants of her patient population. She also takes the time to listen carefully to her patients in order to truly appreciate their concerns and to try to provide them with the results they want.

Before embarking on her professional journey, Dr. Afridi graduated with her medical degree from the University of Saskatchewan College of Medicine in Canada, and completed her residency in plastic surgery at Dalhousie University, serving as Chief Resident in her final year. She then went on to complete her sub-specialty training in breast surgery and body contouring in the United States with Dr. G. Patrick Maxwell, followed by a fellowship in reconstructive surgery with ReSurge International.
Passionate about her profession, the doctor is board-certified in plastic surgery by the American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS). The mission of the ABPS is to promote safe, ethical, efficacious plastic surgery to the public by maintaining high standards for the education, examination, certification, and continuous certification of plastic surgeons as specialists and subspecialists.
