Renowned Orthopedic Surgeon Brings Expertise in Hip and Knee Replacement to New York's Premier Orthopedic Institution

A distinguished orthopedic surgeon specializing in adult reconstruction of the hip and knee, Dr. Sculco is affiliated with the Hospital of Special Surgery (HSS), working with patients at HSS The Pavillion and HSS Brooklyn.

In regards to his educational background, he completed his undergraduate studies at Princeton University, where he majored in Neuroscience and Art History while also competing as a member of the Track and Field team. He furthered his medical education at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, laying a strong foundation for his future in orthopedic surgery. His residency training at HSS was marked by significant achievements, including being elected as an Emerging Leader by the American Orthopedic Association and receiving the prestigious Joseph M. Lane resident research grant for his innovative work on hip vascularity.

As a testament to his dedication to patient care and professionalism, Dr. Sculco was awarded the chief resident award, a recognition given by nurses and operating room staff to the resident who exemplifies the highest standards of care and collaboration. Following his residency, Dr. Sculco honed his skills during a fellowship at the Mayo Clinic, where he was honored with the Mark Coventry, MD Fellows Award in Adult Hip and Knee Reconstruction.
