Dr. Rodney Muhammad, DO, a highly experienced family physician with over two decades of practice, is at the forefront of innovative medical care in Colorado Springs, Colorado. As the esteemed owner of 3G Medical Consultants and Medical Director at APEX Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, he is dedicated to providing a holistic approach to healthcare. Dr. Muhammad is a third generation physician following in the footsteps of his father and Grandfather.

At 3G Medical Consultants, founded in 2013, Dr. Muhammad leads a traditional family medical practice that accepts a wide range of insurances, including Medicaid and Medicare. This clinic also stands out for its cutting-edge alternative and therapeutic treatments, such as Hormone Optimization, Osteopathic Manipulation, Ultrasound-Guided PRP. prolotherapy and cortisone joint injections. He also provides weight management via GLP-1 peptide therapies and novel non-opioid pain management solutions. Dr. Muhammad also offers medical cannabis evaluations in compliance with Colorado state regulations.

Dr. Muhammad has also partnered with Evexias, a company leading the way in Bio-Identical Hormone Optimization Therapies for men and women. Dr. Muhammad’s impressive credentials include graduating from the Western University of Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific in 2002. Following this, he completed his internship and residency in family medicine and a fellowship in sports medicine at Chino Valley Medical Center in Chino, California.

Prior to his medical experience, Dr. Muhammad served in the United States Marine Corps and also The United States Air Force. He was honorably discharged from both branches.

Dr. Muhammad has also served as Medical Director of USA Boxing for the 2016 Summer Olympic Games and has over15 years in Ringside Medicine both nationally and internationally. Dr. Muhammad has also served as a Medical Director for Team USA Kickboxing. Dr. Muhammad has also served on the Colorado Board of Combative Sports as an advisor and still works closely with Professional Boxers. Dr. Muhammad is an active member of prestigious medical associations such as the American Osteopathic Association, the American Osteopathic Academy of Sports Medicine, the American Association of Professional Ringside Physicians, the American Academy of Family Physicians, and the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine, further solidifying his expertise in the field. 

Beyond his medical expertise, Dr. Muhammad is a multifaceted individual who enjoys writing, playing keyboards, bass and acoustic guitar. He also trains for and regularly participates in Age Group Triathlons in the state of Colorado. Dr. Muhammad is unmarried and has one son, Rashaad whom he is very proud of. His commitment to holistic healthcare, combined with his passion for innovation, accountability and community well-being, sets him apart as a leader in the medical field.
