Dr. Orbe is a highly regarded psychiatrist & psychopharmacologist who is a part of Family Health Centers of San Diego in California (FHCSD).
Namely, she is the Assistant Medical Director of Specialty Services, which involves oversight of the Clozaril program, long-acting injectable clinic, and FHCSD’s nurse practitioners. She has worked with patients of all ages but has a special interest in working with the elderly population.
For 50 years, the mission of FHCSD has been to provide caring, affordable, high-quality health care and supportive services to everyone, with a special commitment to uninsured, low-income and medically underserved persons. It operates 72 sites across San Diego County, including 22 primary care clinics, 19 behavioral health facilities, eight dental clinics, four vision clinics, three mobile medical units, two mobile counseling centers, a physical rehabilitation department, a pharmacy, and an outpatient substance use treatment program to support services throughout San Diego County.
Throughout her academic career, Dr. Orbe graduated with her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2008. She then went on to complete her residency in psychiatry at Westchester Medical Center.
Aided by her expertise, she is board-certified in adult psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN). The ABPN is an organization that provides board certification to qualified Doctors who specialize in disorders of the nervous system (neurologists) and to qualified Doctors who specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of mental disorders (psychiatrists).
