Get to know Obstetrician-Gynecologist Dr. Amy T. Magneson, who serves patients in Mount Kisco, New York.

Dr. Magneson is a caring and compassionate obstetrician-gynecologist at CareMount Medical : Mount Kisco Office.

Locally, she is affiliated with Northern Westchester Hospital, NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center, and Westchester Medical Center. She also serves as an Instructor of Obstetrics & Gynecology at New York Medical College.

Throughout her academic career, Dr. Magneson graduated with her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of California Davis Medical Center in 1997. She then went on to earn her medical degree from New York Medical College in 2002. 

Furthering her training, she performed residencies in obstetrics and gynecology at Our Lady of Mercy Medical Center in 2004, and at Bronx-Lebanon Hospital Center in 2006.

Specializing in women’s health, the doctor is board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG). The mission of the ABOG is to define specialty standards, certify obstetricians and gynecologists, and facilitate continuous learning to advance knowledge, practice, and professionalism in women’s health.

A Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (FACOG), Dr. Magneson is also a member of the Medical Society of the State of New York and the American Medical Association.

Her community outreach efforts include: Post Road Elementary School PTA; board member of White Plains Little League; Hillside Food Pantry; member of Trinity Presbyterian Church; and camp physician at Camp Brookwoods Deer Run.

Obstetrics and gynecology (OB-GYN) is the medical specialty that encompasses the two subspecialties of obstetrics (covering pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period) and gynecology (covering the health of the female reproductive system – vagina, uterus, ovaries, and breasts). An obstetrician-gynecologist specializes in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases and disorders that affect women, such as breast cancer, cervical cancer, and menopause. Additionally, they work with expecting mothers throughout their pregnancies, during childbirth, and into postpartum. 

On a more personal note, Dr. Magneson is fluent in English and Spanish.
