He has performed more than 14,000 cardiovascular procedures and has more than 25 years of experience in cardiovascular medicine with expertise in advanced/complex coronary intervention, carotid artery, deep vein thrombosis management, peripheral vascular intervention and treatment of varicose veins. In addition, he is one of the leading experts in transradial coronary angiography and intervention.

Subsequent to his education, the doctor attained board certification in cardiovascular disease, interventional cardiology, and internal medicine through the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.
Achieving fellowship status, he is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC), and Fellow of the Society of Cardiovascular Angiography & Interventions (FSCAI).
Extensively involved in groundbreaking research, Dr. Malhotra has published numerous articles and abstracts on cardiovascular disease management in respected peer-reviewed journals, including the American Journal of Cardiology. Currently, he is involved in 17 clinical trials. He has lectured extensively locally and internationally on a variety of cardiovascular topics at major medical conferences.
