Get to know Dentist Dr. Dawood Harunani, who serves patients in Oregon, Illinois.

Graduating from Texas Christian University, Dr. Harunani went on to obtain his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Northwestern University Dental School. He then advanced his training, earning a Recognition Award for Lifetime Learning and Service and certification in mini implants.

Obtaining Mastership from the Academy of General Dentistry for attending numerous continuing education courses, Dr. Harunani is an active member of the American Dental Association, the American Society of Dentistry for Children, the American College of Forensic Examiners, the Academy of Dentistry International, the American Orthodontic Society, the Illinois State Dental Society, the Illinois Academy of General Dentistry, the US Grant Dental Society, the American Association of Hospital Dentists, and the American College of Dentists.

Dentistry, also known as Dental and Oral Medicine, is a branch of medicine that consists of the study, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of diseases, disorders, and conditions of the oral cavity. Dentists diagnose and treat dental issues and help patients develop better oral hygiene regimens. They clean teeth, correct bite issues, perform surgeries and extractions, and perform other duties to ensure that the teeth and mouth are healthy.  

Outside of practicing dentistry, Dr. Harunani enjoys hunting, fishing, reading, and traveling.
