511 Brookside Ave Redlands CA, 92373About
Dr. Covington has traversed a diverse journey, exploring various interests before discovering her true calling in psychology. After earning her Master's Degree and subsequently a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology, she commenced her professional journey as an Assistant Professor and Staff Psychologist at Loma Linda University Medical Center (LLUMC) within the Department of Anesthesia in Southern California. During her time at LLUMC, she embraced the chance to merge psychological principles with a range of chronic pain issues and critical illnesses. Notably, she established Transitions, a clinical support group tailored for young adults facing severe health challenges, including cancer. Alongside her life and business partner, Dr. Kurt Bickford, she founded a rehabilitation center focused on chronic pain and stress management, where she pioneered an interdisciplinary treatment approach that has since become a benchmark in the field. Her innovative treatment model and research have been presented at both national and international platforms. With 30 years of experience in private practice, her services encompass psychotherapy, applied physiology, executive and organizational coaching, professional seminars, a monthly radio show, and various publications on consciousness, psychology, temperament, and human potential. Continuously at the forefront of therapeutic advancements, Dr. Covington has recently integrated Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) into her practice, marking a significant evolution in psychology since the introduction of Prozac three decades ago. Dr. Covington is a licensed Clinical Psychologist, Board Certified in Biofeedback, and holds a Diplomate in Pain Management.

What do you attribute your success to?
- She attributes her success to her inner drive to help people heal from any and all trauma they may be battling. She is also passionate about helping women in transition who have experienced severe grief, as she lost her husband and best friend and partner who was also a psychologist, named Kurt Bickford. They started Bickford & Covington Psychotherapy and he also helped her establish ketamine-infused treatment and psychotherapy. He showed her how effective the treatments can be has an 85% overall response rate to the treatments, and also has a healing time of 2 to 3 weeks as opposed to 5 to 6 years in traditional therapy. She is very passionate about what she does and is starting a retreat in October where 8 women will stay for 6 nights and 7 days all expenses paid to receive help with trauma as these ladies work as EMS workers. Wabi Sabi Circle is her passion and she can\'t wait to see how effective the first retreat will be for these brave women.
