Dr. Sandusky is a third-generation dentist who, for the past 30 years, has been serving the Memphis, Tennessee community as his father and grandfather have before him. He provides quality orthodontic care to patients at Sandusky Orthodontics, continuously meeting and exceeding their expectations on a daily basis.

Back in the early days of his academic career, Dr. Sandusky graduated from Memphis University School in 1974 and completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. He then earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the University of Tennessee in 1981, followed by his Master of Science (MSc) in Orthodontics degree from the University of Tennessee in 1983.
Priding himself on staying abreast of the latest advancements in orthodontics to ensure that his patients receive the most up-to-date care, Dr. Sandusky is involved with several professional organizations, including the American Association of Orthodontists, the Southern Association of Orthodontists, the Tennessee Association of Orthodontists, the Memphis Association of Orthodontists, the Tweed Orthodontic Foundation, the American Dental Association, the Tennessee Dental Association, and the Memphis Dental Society.
Orthodontics is a specialty of dentistry that deals with the diagnosis, prevention, and correction of malpositioned teeth and jaws. As an orthodontist, Dr. Sandusky is responsible for identifying problems with the positioning of a patient’s teeth and with their oral development. He utilizes the most advanced procedures and equipment available to ensure that every patient achieves a healthy and beautiful smile.
Outside of the office, his life revolves around his family. He has been blessed with a wonderful wife, five children, and eight grandchildren. He also loves the outdoors, often spending time at the lake in the summer, playing golf, and waterfowl hunting in the winter.
Just as passionate as he is about his family, Dr. Sandusky is passionate about strengthening his community and participating in mission work. He has been and is still involved in mission trips to provide dental care in other countries for people in extreme need. For the past 30 years, he has also provided care for the children at the Tennessee Baptist Children’s Home. On a more personal note, he is involved in leading a Bible study at a halfway house for people who have just been released from prison.
