She aims to help her patients reach their optimal dental health through conservative and preventative methods.
“I am firmly committed to a long and sustaining relationship with all of my patients. I am gratified that multiple generations of patients trust me with their dental care. I think my passion for dentistry is rooted in my love of using my hands and eyes to craft objects in finite spaces. I also recognize the significance of a natural and beautiful smile to the aesthetic composition of the human face. Therefore, all of my treatments are not only designed to alleviate dental ailments, but must also be cosmetically pleasing. I recognize that dental medicine is an evolving field with constantly changing equipment, materials and procedures. My office is continually keeping abreast of the latest advancements. I travel throughout the country updating my knowledge base by attending numerous continuing education seminars” as stated on her website.
Holding a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from Columbia University Barnard College, Dr. Chiu earned her Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry degree from the Tufts University School of Dental Medicine.

Dentistry, also known as Dental and Oral Medicine, is a branch of medicine that consists of the study, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of diseases, disorders, and conditions of the oral cavity. Dentists diagnose and treat dental issues and help patients develop better oral hygiene regimens. They clean teeth, correct bite issues, perform surgeries and extractions, and perform other duties to ensure that the teeth and mouth are healthy.
On a more personal note, Dr. Chiu and her husband have two lovely children. In her free time, she enjoys traveling and participating in short and Olympic distance triathlons.
