Regarding her educational background, Dr. James completed her understudies studies at Springhill College and graduated with her medical degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Medicine in 1998. Upon graduation, she continued her education by completing a residency in family medicine at the Louisiana State University in 2001.
