Dr. Tran joined the US Army after September 11 and became a commander and flight surgeon. He was involved with combat medicine, explosive and burn wound care and rehabilitation. Dr. Tran also specialized in mass casualty and evacuation planning as well as soft tissue wound care and revision. He worked with the Warrior Transition Unit (WTU) to help injured soldiers rehab to regain functional quality of life and was the Medical Evaluation Board Director maintaining soldiers’ health and fitness. Through this experience, he specializes in regenerative platelet rich plasma and stem cell therapy application to optimize wound care and tissue regeneration. 

As a physician in the United States, Dr. Tran has witnessed the top causes of death occurring from chronic illnesses including diabetes, hyperlipidemia, hypertension, coronary heart disease, stroke, and cancer.  All of which are preventable by addressing obesity and the sedentary lifestyle.  Today, having an active lifestyle is considered just as important as losing weight.  Being sedentary causes negative metabolic, hormonal and physiological changes.  Most changes are disease processes that create high levels of inflammation and systemic failure, leading to catastrophic health issues.  Solving these systemic diseases is not about diet, surgery or weight loss medications, but rather it is about getting healthy in a natural, holistic lifestyle changes.

Dr. Jordan Tran is a family medicine practitioner practicing in Winchester, VA and a Medical Director of Acare Medical Center.     Amazingly thorough. Address all my concerns. Patient and has lots to offer. Staff were professional and caring. Would not go anywhere else.
