Hackensack Meridian Health Riverview Medical Center is a 476-bed acute care community hospital that offers the convenience and personalized service, combined with state-of-the-art technology such as CyberKnife®, linear accelerators for cancer care, robotic surgery systems, a tele-ICU, and other resources most often found at leading medical centers throughout the country. After earning his medical degree from the Saint Louis University School of Medicine, Dr. Alcera went on to complete his residency in psychiatry at Cooper University Hospital. This was followed by a fellowship in child & adolescent psychiatry at NewYork–Presbyterian Hospital.
A member of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and the American Psychiatric Association, he is board-certified in psychiatry and child & adolescent psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN). The ABPN is a not-for-profit corporation dedicated to promoting high quality patient care for the public through the initial and continuing certification of psychiatrists and neurologists.
