Hackensack Meridian Health Riverview Medical Center is a 476-bed acute care community hospital that offers the convenience and personalized service, combined with state-of-the-art technology such as CyberKnife®, linear accelerators for cancer care, robotic surgery systems, a tele-ICU, and other resources most often found at leading medical centers throughout the country. The Center offers addiction recovery, adolescent intensive outpatient groups, adult partial hospitalization, children’s speciality groups, crisis unit, inpatient psychiatric, outpatient mental health services, transitional medication services & medication clinic.

The doctor is also affiliated with several hospitals and medical centers in the New Jersey area, including Bayshore Medical Center, Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Ocean Medical Center, Palisades Medical Center, Raritan Bay Medical Center, and Southern Ocean Medical Center.

After earning his medical degree from the Saint Louis University School of Medicine, Dr. Alcera went on to complete his residency in psychiatry at Cooper University Hospital. This was followed by a fellowship in child & adolescent psychiatry at NewYork–Presbyterian Hospital.

A member of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and the American Psychiatric Association, he is board-certified in psychiatry and child & adolescent psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN). The ABPN is a not-for-profit corporation dedicated to promoting high quality patient care for the public through the initial and continuing certification of psychiatrists and neurologists.
