Later, he completed a residency in radiation oncology at the University of Miami – Jackson Memorial Hospital.
Distinguished as a Fellow of the American College of Physicians (FACP), the doctor attained board certification in radiation oncology and internal medicine through the American Board of Radiology (ABR). The mission of the ABR is to serve patients, the public, and the medical profession by certifying that its diplomats have acquired, demonstrated, and maintained a requisite standard of knowledge, skill, and understanding essential to the safe and competent practice of diagnostic radiology, radiation oncology, and medical physics.
