Get to know Obstetrician-Gynecologist Dr. Patricia A. Wallace, who serves patients in Mission Viejo, California.

A highly trained obstetrician-gynecologist, Dr. Wallace practices at the Center for Pelvic Health and Wellness in Mission Viejo, California. She is dedicated to restoring pelvic health and women’s wellness with the goal of supporting women in living their best life, regardless of age or condition. She has significant clinical experience in surgical and non-surgical treatment of gynecology and urogynecology conditions as well as treatment of hormone balance and sexual wellness.

Her focus on women’s wellness includes comprehensive and integrative treatment of pelvic disorders, urinary (bladder) and fecal (anal) incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, pelvic floor dysfunction, and chronic conditions of the bladder, such as interstitial cystitis/cainful bladder Syndrome, recurrent urinary tract infections (bladder infections), overactive bladder, sexual health, menopause, and bio-identical hormone therapy including BioTE pellet HRT.

Proficient in minimally invasive surgery, Dr. Wallace is a certified Da Vinci Robotic surgeon for the minimally invasive treatment of advanced pelvic organ prolapse. She is also certified in InterStim sacral nerve neuromodulation for the treatment of overactive bladder, as well as urinary urgency and fecal incontinence, and serves as a key opinion leader for ThermiVa, a radiofrequency treatment for pelvic and sexual wellness, and Bonafide, herbal supplements for women’s wellness.

Back in 1997, she graduated with her medical degree from the University of Texas, Houston. She then went on to complete two consecutive residencies in obstetrics and gynecology at UCSD Medical Center and at the University of Texas Affiliated Hospitals. Later, she completed her fellowship in urogynecology and female pelvic medicine & reconstructive surgery at the University of California, Irvine.

As a testament to her success, the doctor is board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology, urogynecology, and female pelvic medicine & reconstructive surgery by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG). The mission of the ABOG is to define specialty standards, certify obstetricians and gynecologists, and facilitate continuous learning to advance knowledge, practice, and professionalism in women’s health.

In her professional experience, Dr. Wallace is a member of the Board of Trustees, the Director of Pelvic Health and Wellness as well as a member of the Executive Committee for the Women’s and Infants Institute at Mission Hospital.

Obstetrics and gynecology (OB-GYN) is the medical specialty that encompasses the two subspecialties of obstetrics (covering pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period) and gynecology (covering the health of the female reproductive system – vagina, uterus, ovaries, and breasts).
