A 1981-graduate of the Aleppo University Faculty of Medicine in Aleppo, Syria, Dr. Minassian relocated to the United States, where he served his pathology residency at Monmouth Medical Center and Robert Wood Johnson Medical School of Rutgers University in Long Branch, NJ (1993). Furthermore, he is fellowship-trained in cytopathology at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, TX (1994).
Subsequent to his education, the doctor attained board certification in cytopathology (1997) and clinical and anatomic pathology (1996) through the American Board of Pathology. The American Board of Pathology is one of 24 member boards of the American Board of Medical Specialties. This organization was assembled in May 1936, under the approval of the Advisory Board for Medical Specialties and the American Medical Association Council on Medical Education and Hospitals.
