Dr. Bryan’s academic journey began with coursework in aerospace science at Tennessee State University and neurobiology at Harvard University in 1982. He later earned a Bachelor’s Degree, summa cum laude, from Vanderbilt University School of Arts and Sciences in 1984. His pursuit of medical excellence culminated in a Doctor of Medicine Degree from Emory University School of Medicine in 1988.
Following his graduation, Dr. Bryan completed his residencies in general surgery and cardiothoracic surgery at Emory University Affiliated Hospitals in Atlanta, where he excelled as the administrative chief resident in cardiothoracic surgery and chief resident in general surgery. His dedication to the field was further exemplified during his fellowship in cardiothoracic surgery and a research fellowship at the Carlyle-Fraser Heart Center. Additionally, he is a proud graduate of the prestigious Harvard Medical School Surgical Leadership Program.
Dr. Bryan is an esteemed Diplomate of the American Board of Thoracic Surgery (ABTS) and is board-certified in both thoracic and cardiac surgery. Prior to joining Florida Medical Clinic Orlando Health, he held various significant roles in the healthcare sector. From 2021 to 2022, he served as the Medical Director of Clinical Support and Cardiovascular Care at AdventHealth Medical Group, contributing to advancements in surgical practices. His previous roles also include serving as an attending staff surgeon and contributing to the structural heart valve program with the West Florida Division of HCA.
Dr. Bryan is a distinguished Fellow of several prestigious medical organizations, including the American College of Surgeons (FACS), the American College of Cardiology (FACC), and the American College of Chest Physicians (FCCP).
