My eyes strain a lot when working on my computer. What could be the issue?
Hi, Computer monitors, laptops, tablets, and cell phones have been known to emit a certain blue light wavelength that has been linked to cause eye strain, eye fatigue and many more symptoms. You could potentially benefit from a blue light filter on your glasses. Definitely get an eye exam to see if there is any need for glasses (if you are not wearing any currently), a prescription change, or any other issues that could be causing your eye strain. READ MORE
How often should I get an eye examination?
Hi, Yes! You should definitely go every year for your annual eye exam. We not only check your vision and determine if you need glasses (or contact lenses), we also check the health of your eyes for glaucoma, macular degeneration, bleeding, or any abnormalities that could potentially happen without causing any symptoms to the patient. Why are my eyes sore after contacts?
Hi, It could be due to a number of things. You could be allergic to the contact lens material, or to the deposits secreted from your eyes that adhere to the contacts, or the solution you are using. Also, if you are over wearing your contacts or not replacing them at the suggested intervals could cause this. It is best that you go to an optometrist to get your eyes examined so we can find the underlying issues and address them. Thank you, Tiffanny Lai, O.D. READ MORE
