Dr. Eileen West is board certified in internal medicine and trained in women’s health. She founded Eileen West, MD and Associates in 2019 to deliver personalized healthcare for women. Dr. West’s practice is an independent, concierge, primary care practice designed specifically to meet your unique health needs. She offers a full spectrum of care across the lifetime (16+), including urgent care, wellness and preventive care, and specialty women’s healthcare consultations. She strives to follow clinical practice guidelines endorsed by the country’s top primary care and women’s health organizations. She is affiliated with MsMedicine, the national leader in women’s specific primary healthcare, and with Inova Fairfax Hospital.
Prior to starting her own practice, Dr. West was the director of the Inova Women’s Comprehensive Health Center, and director of internal medicine women’s health at the University of Oklahoma in Oklahoma City. She has held faculty appointments at Tulane University, the University of Oklahoma, and most recently at Virginia Commonwealth University. In over twenty years, she has cared for thousands of patients and trained a generation of future physicians.
A fellow of the American College of Physicians, Dr. West also serves on the Governor’s Council of the ACP Virginia Chapter. She chairs the Health of Women Committee and serves on the planning committee for their annual meeting. She is a Certified Menopause Practitioner through the North American Menopause Society (NAMS). She also serves on the Physician Executive Group for MsMedicine, an exciting and innovative new organization whose goal is to raise the bar on women’s healthcare across the country through exceptional, accessible, patient care. She is among the physicians voted “Most Compassionate Physician” and a US News and World Report/Castle Connelly Regional Top Doctor since 2008, both in Oklahoma and Virginia.
