Dr. Khaleghi, a board-certified rheumatologist, is honored to serve the communities of Orange County, California at Pacific Rheumatology Medical Center. He offers innovative, cutting-edge treatments and compassionate care for men and women of all ages with all types of musculoskeletal diseases.
Blending cutting-edge technology with comprehensive patient-oriented care, he and the experienced, compassionate team at Pacific Rheumatology Medical Center know that medicine is about serving people rather than solely focusing on computers and charts. Dr. Khaleghi treats patients with a wide range of conditions, including all types of arthritis and complex inflammatory issues.
In addition to in-office anti-inflammatory supplements, such as CBD oil, he prescribes the highest-quality medications to treat rheumatoid arthritis, including Remicade®, Orencia®, Actemra®, Simponi®, and rituximab. He also offers regenerative medicine treatments such as stem cell therapy and platelet-rich plasma (PRP) injections.
Invested in continuous learning and moving medicine forward, his special interests are adult rheumatic diseases, including arthritis, lupus, and osteoporosis. He considers serving people to be a privilege and spends as much time as necessary listening to his patients.
Back in 1991, Dr. Khaleghi graduated with his medical degree from Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences in Iran. Upon relocating to the United States, he served an internship and residency in internal medicine at Saint Barnabas Hospital in 1997, followed by a fellowship in rheumatology at Cooper University Hospital/UMDNJ.
Ensuring access to the highest level of patient care, he is board-certified in rheumatology and internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.
Holding fellowship status, Dr. Khaleghi is a Fellow of the American College of Rheumatology (FACR) and a Fellow of the American College of Physicians (FACP).
Rheumatology is a branch of medicine devoted to the diagnosis and therapy of rheumatic diseases. Physicians who have undergone formal training in rheumatology are called rheumatologists. Rheumatologists treat arthritis, autoimmune diseases, pain disorders affecting joints, and osteoporosis. There are more than 200 types of these diseases, including rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, gout, lupus, back pain, osteoporosis, and tendinitis.
Having been in practice for over three decades, Dr. Khaleghi has been the recipient of a number of awards and honors.
