Get to know Child, Adolescent & Adult Psychiatrist Dr. TeeJay Tripp, who serves patients in Gilbert, Arizona.

Dr. Tripp has been applauded as one of the best child, adolescent & adult psychiatrists in the Phoenix area because his approach to individualized treatment for mental health is focused on finding solutions, not just treating symptoms. He is the Founder & Medical Director of Serenity Mental Health Centers in Gilbert, Arizona.

As such, he leads staff in staying up-to-date on the most advanced uses of TMS therapy, ketamine treatment, and other outpatient mental health treatment options to help patients achieve the best possible outcomes and take back their lives from mental illness.

Serenity Mental Health Centers was born out of Dr. Tripp’s mission to help more people get access to the high-quality, affordable mental health treatment they deserve, in a supportive and judgment-free environment. He has nurtured a world-class team of talented psychiatrists, mental health professionals, and management that treats patients with dignity, respect, and encouragement. Before embarking on his professional journey, Dr. Tripp obtained his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from Midwestern University, Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2009. He then went on to complete his residency in general psychiatry at Maricopa Integrated Health System, followed by his fellowship in child & adolescent psychiatry at the same educational venue. 

Among his most notable achievements, he is board-certified in psychiatry and child & adolescent psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, a not-for-profit corporation dedicated to promoting high-quality patient care for the public through the initial and continuing certification of psychiatrists and neurologists.

Psychiatry is the medical specialty devoted to the diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of mental disorders. These include various maladaptations related to mood, behaviour, cognition, and perceptions. Psychiatrists evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders. They conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations, develop treatment plans, prescribe medication, and evaluate treatment results.

Child and adolescent psychiatry, also known as pediatric psychiatry, is a branch of psychiatry that focuses on the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of mental disorders in children, adolescents, and their families. A child and adolescent psychiatrist is a physician who specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of disorders of thinking, feeling, as well as behavior affecting children, adolescents, and their families.

Outside of the office, Dr. Tripp’s interests include participating in sports, fixing cars, reading, and spending time with his family.
