He is an attending radiologist at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital – Main Building in the Musculoskeletal Division, which interprets the MRIs and performs the image-guided procedures for the professional sports teams in Philadelphia including the Eagles, Phillies, Flyers, and Sixers
In collaboration with Jefferson Health, he also offers his services at Jefferson Torresdale Hospital, Jefferson Bucks Hospital, Jefferson Frankford Hospital, Jefferson Methodist Hospital, the Sarcoma and Bone Tumor Center, Jefferson Health’s Radiology Department, and Vincera Institute.
In professional and amateur athletes, Dr. Roedl focuses on MRI and ultrasound for diagnosing sports related injuries and uses minimally invasive, ultrasound-guided techniques for the treatment of tendon, muscle, joint or nerve injuries.
Among his academic appointments, he serves as a Clinical Associate Professor of Radiology at Thomas Jefferson University.
In Germany, Dr. Roedl graduated with his medical degree from the Faculty of Medicine at Friedrich-Alexander University in 2005. He then relocated to the United States, performing his residency in internal medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital in 2009, his residency in diagnostic radiology at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in 2012, his fellowship in vascular and interventional radiology at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in 2013, and his fellowship in musculoskeletal imaging at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in 2014.
As a testament to his success, the doctor is board-certified in diagnostic radiology by the American Board of Radiology (ABR). The ABR is a not-for-profit physician-led organization that oversees the certification and ongoing professional development of specialists in diagnostic radiology, interventional radiology, radiation oncology, and medical physics.
