Dr. McClary is one of the country’s best rated doctors. She is a colorectal surgeon, serving patients at Arizona Preferred Surgeons in Glendale, Arizona. Dr. McClary received her medical degree from the University of Washington School of Medicine. She then went on to complete an internship and residency in General Surgery at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, followed by a fellowship in Colon and Rectal Surgery, also at the Mayo Clinic.

Dr. McClary is board-certified in General Surgery by the American Board of Surgery, as well as in Colon and Rectal Surgery by the American Board of Colon and Rectal Surgery. She is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a Fellow of the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgery. Furthermore, she is a member of the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons, the Arizona Medical Association, the American Medical Association and the Maricopa County Medical Society.

Colorectal surgery is a field in medicine dealing with disorders of the rectum, anus, and colon. The field is also known as proctology, but this term is now used infrequently within medicine and is most often employed to identify practices relating to the anus and rectum in particular. Colorectal surgeons, like Dr. McClary, specialize in the preoperative, operative, and postoperative care of patients with colorectal disorders. They have comprehensive knowledge about general surgery and in the diagnosis and treatment of disorders of the colon, rectum, and anus.

Having vast expertise in her field, Dr. McClary’s specialty areas include colorectal surgery, anal disease including hemorrhoids, minimally invasive surgery, robotic surgery (including single incision gallbladder surgery, general surgery (including breast and hernia surgery), as well as upper intestinal endoscopy and colonoscopy. “Having surgery is a sentinel event in the lives of most people.
