Back in 1993, Dr. Lima-Maribona earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. She then went on to complete her residency in dermatology at Sun Coast Hospital. 

Striving to continue to use new technologies which bring predictable and consistent results, the doctor is board-certified in dermatology by the American Osteopathic Board of Dermatology, an organization that provides board certification to qualified DOs who specialize in the medical and surgical treatment of disorders of the skin.

In addition, she remains a member of several professional organizations, including the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Osteopathic College of Dermatology, the American Society of Laser Medicine and Surgery, and the Florida Society of Dermatology.
