A devoted pediatric dentist, Dr. Flake is the Owner & Operator of Grin Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics. He and the friendly staff provide a wide range of pediatric dental services from regular dental checkups to Invisalign® clear aligners.
Grin Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics is passionate about helping children take care of their oral health starting at an early age. The dental practice offers a fun, comfortable environment for pediatric patients with offices in Lakewood, Aurora, Centennial, Northglenn & Denver, Colorado.
Growing up in Snowflake, Arizona, Dr. Flake has always had a great love for helping people. He attended Arizona State University, where he met his wife, and they then moved to Colorado. There, he attended the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine.
In 2010, Dr. Flake graduated as a Doctor of Dental Surgery and began a two-year specialty program at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas to specialize in treating children. Since he and his wife enjoyed living in Colorado, they decided to move back and joined Grin Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics, previously known as Comfort Dental Kids, in 2012.
Pediatric dentistry is the branch of dentistry dealing with children from birth through adolescence. A pediatric dentist specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of the dental problems of children from infancy to young adulthood. They usually care for special needs patients as well.
Happily married, Dr. Colt and his wife have twin boys, Casen and Oliver, and a daughter named Scottie, whom they adopted from China.
Outside of practicing dentistry, he loves spending time outdoors, golfing, scuba diving, and traveling, but most of all, he enjoys a nice piece of cheesecake!
