Dr. Patrick James Baggot, affectionately known as “Paddy Jim,” is a highly regarded gynecologist serving the diverse community of Los Angeles, California. With a career spanning over two decades, he has become a trusted figure in women’s healthcare, specializing in maternal-fetal medicine and medical genetics.

Back in the early days of his academic career, the doctor earned his medical degree from the University of Illinois School of Medicine. He then embarked on a rigorous path of training and specialization, completing his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Mount Sinai Hospital in Chicago in 1992. Recognizing the importance of expertise in high-risk pregnancies, he pursued a fellowship in maternal-fetal medicine at the University of Arkansas, solidifying his knowledge in this critical area of women’s health. Moreover, he completed a fellowship in medical genetics at the Medical College of Virginia, making him uniquely qualified to address genetic concerns and conditions in his patients.

Before establishing his private practice in Los Angeles in 2000, he gained extensive experience in the field. Notably, he worked as an OB/GYN, perinatologist, and geneticist at the Pope Paul VI Institute for the Study of Human Reproduction in Omaha, Nebraska, from 1996 to 1998. His time at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center in maternal-fetal medicine in 1998 further honed his skills and knowledge in this specialized field. Since then, he has remained dedicated to his practice, offering his expertise to the women of Los Angeles from his well-established location on Wilshire Boulevard.

His unique certifications as a natural family planning medical consultant and clinical metal toxicologist reflect his holistic approach to women’s health. Dr. Baggot’s dedication to his pro-life principles is evident in his practice as he opts not to perform tubal ligation procedures.
