A board-certified and fellowship-trained plastic surgeon specializing in cosmetic surgery, Dr. Bailey is the Medical Director and Owner of Bailey Cosmetic Surgery & Vein Center. His practice involves a full range of cosmetic surgery and modern vein care (phlebology).
With four locations in Osage Beach, Springfield, Rolla, and Sedalia, Missouri, Bailey Cosmetic Surgery & Vein Center is committed to continually perform in a patient-centered manner. A graduate of the University of Iowa College of Medicine in 1987, Dr. Bailey went on to complete his residency in general surgery at the Wayne State University School of Medicine in 1992, and his fellowship in thoracic surgery at the Indiana University School of Medicine in 1994. Later, he completed a fellowship in face & body cosmetic surgery with the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery.
Passionate about both cosmetic surgery and modern vein care, the doctor is board-certified by the American Board of Venous & Lymphatic Medicine (ABVLM). The ABVLM was established in 2007 to improve the standards of medical practitioners and the quality of patient care related to the treatment of venous disorders.
To boot, he is board-certified through the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery, and the American Board of Surgery.
Prior to 2005, Dr. Bailey spent a very satisfying 15 years performing adult cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgery. Nine of those years as a cardiovascular surgeon were spent as Director of Cardiovascular Services and Director of Vascular Laboratory at Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach, Missouri, and as a Board Member of the Lake Regional Hospital Foundation. He also served as the Medical Director and Owner of The Bailey Vein Institute in Hawaii from 2010 through 2016.
Among his professional affiliations, he is an active member of the American Society of Cosmetic Breast Surgery, the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, the International Society of Cosmetic and Laser Surgeons, and is a member of the Board of Trustees at the American College of Phlebology and the Cosmetic Surgery Foundation. He is also a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS).
