Get to know Dentist Dr. John A. Lauten, who serves patients in Houston, Texas.
Ensuring healthy teeth for a lifetime, Dr. Lauten is the Founder of Meyer Park Dental Care in Houston, Texas. He offers a variety of services for the highest quality dental care for patients, including dental hygiene, cosmetic dentistry, restorative dentistry, pediatric dentistry, periodontics, oral surgery, and root canal treatment.
Since receiving his degree from the University of Texas Dental Branch, Dr. Lauten has treated thousands of men, women and children, many of whom thought they could not afford quality dental care.
“Many people don’t even think of their health insurance when they need dental care, so we make a special effort to ask whether or not a patient has any health insurance. If so, our insurance specialist finds out the maximum amount their insurance can be billed” he explained.
While Dr. Lauten is justifiably proud of his credentials and skills in all areas of dental care, including cosmetic, periodontal, and crowns and bridges, he is particularly proud of his relationship with his patients.
“Dentistry is really about helping people feel better and look better. Sure, I’m proud that I’ve been accepted as a member of several dental organizations. But most of all, I’m proud that I’m able to put my patients at ease. And when they refer friends and family members, I know I’ve earned their trust in the gentle quality of my care” expressed Dr. Lauten.
Continuously advancing his efforts, he is an active member of the Academy of General Dentistry, the American Dental Association, the Texas Dental Association, and the Greater Houston Dental Society.
Dentistry, also known as Dental and Oral Medicine, is a branch of medicine that consists of the study, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of diseases, disorders, and conditions of the oral cavity. Dentists diagnose and treat dental issues and help patients develop better oral hygiene regimens. They clean teeth, correct bite issues, perform surgeries and extractions, and perform other duties to ensure that the teeth and mouth are healthy.
