Dr.Vincent graduated with his Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the University of Oregon. He has over four decades of experience in his field. Dr. Vincent is board certified in clinical psychology by the American Board of Professional Psychology. In 1997 he was recognized for his dedication to victims’ rights by the U.S. Department of Justice Office for Victims of Crime. He is noted for his expertise in marital therapy, and treatment of emotional challenges, including anxiety, depression, anger, and trauma, His forensic practice involves work with attorneys on civil law cases involving litigation of alleged emotional injuries. He has served on the editorial boards of numerous professional journals, and has authored over 200 research articles, book chapters, conference presentations and six edited books. He has received 30 research grants from private, state, and federal agencies. In addition to his research activities and practice in clinical and forensic psychology, Dr. Vincent has served as an expert witness in State and Federal Court. He also has served as a consultant to major law firms, corporations and governmental organizations. He currently practices as the Leading Clinical and Forensic Psychologist is a Professor and Director of the Center for Forensic Psychology at the University of Houston as well as Co-Director of the Center for Couples Therapy. Psychology is the science of behavior and mind, including conscious and unconscious phenomena, as well as feeling and thought. It is an academic discipline of immense scope and diverse interests that, when taken together, seek an understanding of the emergent properties of brains, and all the variety of epiphenomena they manifest.
