Before embarking on his professional journey, he graduated from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, where he laid the foundation for his medical career. Following his medical education, he completed an internship in internal medicine at the same institution, before specializing in family medicine during his residency at UPMC St. Margaret Memorial Hospital, where he gained hands-on experience in treating a diverse range of medical conditions.

As a testament to his success, Dr. Koopman is board-certified in family medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine. With a passion for community health, his approach emphasizes preventive care, patient education, and coordinated treatment strategies, ensuring that patients receive holistic and personalized medical attention.
