Get to know Obstetrician-Gynecologist Dr. So Young Bae, who serves patients in Madison Heights, Michigan.

Recognized as a caring and compassionate obstetrician-gynecologist, Dr. Bae is in practice at DaVincii Obstetrics & Gynecology in Madison Heights, Michigan. Her clinical interests include general and high risk pregnancies, infertility, ultrasound, endometriosis, vulvovaginal disorder, pessary management, and minimally invasive surgery.

Established in 1992, DaVincii Obstetrics & Gynecology consists of a dedicated team of female board-certified physicians who focus on accommodating women’s needs so they can better help them through all stages of life. Their staff reflects these values through and through. From their administrative staff to their medical staff, they are fully trained to treat patients with compassion and care.

A native of South Korea, Dr. Bae received her medical degree from the Keimyung University School of Medicine. After relocating to the United States, she completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Toledo Medical Center. During her residency, she received a national award regarding early ultrasound findings that predict pregnancy outcomes.

An expert in her field, the doctor is board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology at the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecologists (ABOG). The ABOG is a non-profit organization that provides board certification for practicing obstetricians and gynecologists in the United States and Canada.

Obstetrics and gynecology (OB-GYN) is the medical specialty that encompasses the two subspecialties of obstetrics (covering pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period) and gynecology (covering the health of the female reproductive system – vagina, uterus, ovaries, and breasts).

Happily married, Dr. Bae and her husband have two sons and a hairless cat. She is a foodie and loves to cook dishes from around the world. In her free time, she became a certified scuba diver. She is fluent in both English and Korean.
