Dr. Sabharwal is passionate about offering cutting-edge diagnostics, treatments, and therapies to help patients achieve amazing results. In regards to his educational background, Dr. Sabharwal earned his medical degree from the Roy J. and Lucille A. Carver College of Medicine in Iowa City, Iowa. He completed six years of residency training in general surgery and urology at the Medical College of Ohio in Toledo, Ohio. He then went on to complete his fellowship in robotic surgery at the University of Central Florida, where he currently serves as an Assistant Professor.
The doctor pursued further advanced training in cosmetic surgery . He also received extensive training in hair restoration at St. Louis University. Having done over 1,100 robotic procedures, he is a recognized leader in nerve sparing and endopelvic fascia sparing techniques to improve impotence and continence outcomes after robotic prostatectomy.
A Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, Dr. Sabharwal is board-certified in urology by the American Board of Urology, whose mission is to act for the benefit of the public by establishing and maintaining standards of certification for urologists, as well as to work with certified urologists to achieve lifelong learning to ensure the delivery of high quality, safe, and ethical urologic care.
In an attempt to further enhance his professional development, he remains a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, the American Society of Lipo-Suction Surgery, the International Society of Cosmetogynecology, the American Society of Hair Restoration Surgeons, and the American Society of Cosmetic Laser Surgery.
Urology, also known as genitourinary surgery, is the branch of medicine that focuses on surgical and medical diseases of the male and female urinary-tract system and the male reproductive organs. Urologists specialize in diseases of the urinary tract and the male reproductive system. Patients may be referred to a urologist if their physician suspects they may need treatment for a condition relating to the bladder, urethra, ureters, kidneys, and adrenal glands.
