Dr. Jones is a practicing gastroenterologist who is involved in research as the Director of Clinical Research for Tri-State Gastroenterology Associates. He is also the Principal Investigator for clinical trials involving hepatitis C, inflammatory bowel disease, and irritable bowel syndrome.

A native of Kansas City, Missouri, Dr. Jones earned his medical degree from the University of Missouri School of Medicine in 1997. During his internship, residency, and fellowship training at the University of Kentucky Medical Center, he received many awards and honors. These include: “Outstanding Intern Teacher” in 1998, the “Chief Resident’s Outstanding Intern Award”, and the “Resident Research Award” in 1999. Years later, in 2003, after completing his training, he began practicing with Tri-State Gastroenterology Associates.
In practice for more than two decades, the doctor is board-certified in both gastroenterology and internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.
